Temps fall, Snow Dayz heats up

Princeton High School began its Snow Dayz this week with the eight royalty candidates from each grade having dress-up days. The student body voted last week for four boy and four girl candidates from each of the four grades, 9-12. A royalty couple will be crowned for each grade during the school’s pep fest in the gymnasium on Jan. 27 at 2:10 p.m.

PHS will have its Snow Dayz dance from 9 p.m. to midnight the same day as the pep fest.

The royalty candidates are:

Senior class – John Jedneak, Bailen Holm, Allen Halbert and Jake Anderson for king, and Gabrielle Brevig, Tia Ronnenberg, Heather VanSlyke and Ngamsuk Seikaew for queen.

Junior class – Isaiah Mayerchak, Brody Cores, Nate Hoffer and Zach Ludwig for king, and Hailey Wheeler, Marisa Paulson, Magnolia McLaughlin and Allyson McAlpine for queen.

Sophomore class – Reid Eggen, Joe Stenslie, Michael Gross and Gino Fraboni for king, and Amanda Whitcomb, Brianna Yetzer, Shania Halgrimson and Hannah Osborn for queen.

Freshmen class – Eric Norman, Mason Lindala, Lukas Hallbeck and Matt Girtz for king, and Kaja Simon, Lauren Pelzer, Kailey Moore and Alison King for queen.

The dress-up themes this week at PHS (there was no school on Monday because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday) were: Tuesday – shiny day, Wednesday – celebrity day, Thursday – transportation day, and Friday – Ninja day.

All of the PHS students can participate in dress-up days next week and the themes will be Monday – twin day, Tuesday – blackout day, Wednesday – hillbilly and lumberjack day, Thursday – ugly sweater day, and Friday – Tiger pride day.
