Boys hockey: Rusty Skates come home to Princeton

After a one year absence, the rusty skates are returning to Princeton after a 3-2 Tiger win Thursday, Feb. 2 at Cambridge.

The travelling trophy, presented annually to the Princeton-Cambridge boys hockey game winner, went to Cambridge in 2011 after being awarded to Princeton the three previous years.

But winning the game — and the trophy — didn’t come easy.

Dan Muench scored all three Princeton goals, including the game winner in overtime, to give the Tigers a 3-2 win. Chase Lindenfelser had the assist on the game-winning goal, as well as an assist on Muench’s first goal at 14:36 of the first period.

Joey Stenslie, and Jake Green also had assists on Muench goals.
