Meth bust in Zimmerman
Sheryl Barnhart, 53, Zimmerman, and Virgil Pouliot, 55, Zimmerman, were arrested Wednesday for 1st degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and were booked into the Sherburne County Jail.
According to Sheriff Joel Brott, investigators from the Sherburne County Drug Task Force (DTF) developed information concerning the possible sale of methamphetamine occurring in the city of Zimmerman. In the course of the investigation, DTF investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for a residence in the 26000 block on 3rd St East, within the city of Zimmerman.
DTF investigators executed that warrant and found approximately 1 ounce of methamphetamine and approximately $16,000 in cash. Investigators arrested Barnhart and Pouliot on scene without incident and transported them to the Sherburne County Jail where they remain pending arraignment.
