Henry W. Karsten, 38, Cloquet, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at University of Minnesota Medical Center – Fairview in Minneapolis.
Henry was born on June 13, 1973, in Milaca. He graduated from Foley High School and later worked for Crystal Cabinets in Princeton for 10 years.
On May 15, 2004, Henry married Jody Gorham in Moose Lake. They lived in Split Rock Township and later moved to Cloquet where Henry worked at Sappi Fine Paper.
Henry loved spending time with his family and was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, camping and four-wheeling. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.
Henry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jody; children Tyler, Trevor and Amanda; mother Selena (Mike) Carlson of Sturgeon Lake; father William (Rolina) Karsten of Pease; siblings Sheldon (Kim) Gallmeier of Pine City, Dorrie (Larry) Goetzke of Milaca, Laura Carpenter of Foreston, Mikki (AJ) Fox of Twin Lake, Mich., Jessica (Jon) Anderson of Willmar, Lisa (Kent) Lestrud of Princeton, Lynette (Jeff) Kuzel of Pine City, Connie (Dan) Schulz of Mora and Kathy (Jake) Mattila of Healy, Alaska; father-in-law and mother-in-law Dave and Pat Gorham of Princeton; and many nieces, nephews and a great-niece.
A memorial service was held Monday, March 19 at Hope Lutheran Church in Moose Lake.
