Police Report: March 19-25
The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department between March 19-25. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it occurred. The report was compiled by Jeff Hage.
Monday, March 19
9:18 a.m. A blue Magna 10-speed mountain bike was found in the 900 block of 8th Ave. N. and taken to the police station.
10:05 a.m. Received a report of a Nintendo DSi handheld game lost from a bag that had been left outside in the 1400 block of 15th Avenue N.
4:47 p.m. A person came into the police station stating she had just been the victim of an assault and had been strangled. A juvenile suspect was arrested and taken to Lino Lakes.
Tuesday, March 20
7:38 p.m. Received a report that a domestic dispute was taking place in a vehicle in Baldwin Township. Sherburne County notified and took a report.
Wednesday, March 21
4:43 p.m. A group of juveniles was interfering with practice of the school softball team and also threw around garbage cans. Juveniles were located and talked to. They also picked up the garbage.
5:29 p.m. A homeowner in the 1000 block of 5th Avenue called police after finding a muskrat in his window well. Officers trapped the animal and released it by the river.
8:57 p.m. Two males got in an altercation in the parking lot of the Conoco station and one chased the other with a screwdriver. Officers were unable to locate the men.
Thursday, March 22
9:04 a.m. Responded to a report of a carbon monoxide alarm in the 300 block of 9th Avenue S.
3:50 p.m. Two bowls of a substance later identified as antifreeze were left in a yard on 11th Street N. The homeowner has two dogs. No suspects identified.
7:57 p.m. A yellow and black 10-speed bike was reported stolen from behind a garage in the 500 block of 6th Avenue S.
Saturday, March 24
2:18 p.m. Investigated a report of kids on top of the Jaycees’ concession stand. Officers talked with juveniles and their parents.
8:43 p.m. Tree branches were reported to be sparking on power lines in the 100 block of 13th Avenue S. Officer stood by until the PUC arrived.
7:44 p.m. Responded to a report of a large fire on the golf course. The Princeton Fire department responded and extinguished the fire.
11:15 p.m. A vehicle was reported to be stolen from 701 Northland Boulevard. St. Cloud Police recovered the vehicle. They also conducted a canine search, which led to the apprehending of a suspect.
Sunday, March 25
8:38 a.m. A loose calf was reported at the airport.
2:39 p.m. A female was driving on 17th Street when she blacked out due to a medical situation. She then hit a tree.
