Princeton High School will have its Bright Lights, Big City-theme prom on Saturday, May 5, with the grand march starting at 4 p.m. in the PHS gymnasium.
The public may attend the grand march, which will be just general admission, no reserved seating this year. Doors will open at 3 p.m. Admission is $3, or if you bring a nonperishable food item for the food shelf, admission is free.
Kate Wenzel Photography will be photographing the prom attendees. Promgoers will have their dinner and dance at Northern Lights Ballroom & Banquet Center at Pease. Social hour will begin at about 5 p.m. and the dinner at 6 p.m., with the dance beginning at about 7:30 or 8 p.m., according to prom advisor Sarah Schuppenhauer. Northern Lights is arranging for the music DJ.
Prom is for high school juniors and seniors and their dates, or some may go singly. Cost to attend the PHS prom this year is $120 per couple or $65 per single. About 120 PHS students had signed up as of Tuesday this week.
Volunteers are needed to help decorate the gym on May 2-4. The contact e-mail address is [email protected] or call 763-389-6034.
