Dispose of unused prescription drugs

Mille Lacs County Sheriff Brent C. Lindgren is pleased to announce that the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office will be holding our 2nd National Take Back Prescription Drug Initiative on April 28, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the main lobby of the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office.

This is the public’s opportunity to drop off unused or expired prescription drugs with the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office. Over the years, prescription drug disposal has been confusing and many of us have been looking for new ways to dispose of these drugs. Rather than flushing them down the toilet and allowing them to enter into our ecosystem or having them stolen and being sold on the streets, we are providing an outlet for the public to properly dispose of these drugs.

Restrictions are no needle and no syringes.

We are encouraging everyone to bring in their unused medicines for disposal. Questions should be directed to Captain Jason LaSart at 320-983-8323.
