A second area support group for caregivers has been formed. It meets every fourth Wednesday of each month, 1:30-3 p.m., at the Elim Oasis Adult Day Health Care spaces inside the Freshwaters United Methodist Church in Princeton. The church is located at 112 N. 7th Ave.
The group, which will be led by RN Julie Schoen, Princeton, began in March. The other support group continues to meet the first Tuesday of each month at the Elim Care and Rehab Center in Princeton.
In related news, Elim Oasis is running a caregivers workshop for the second time due to the success of the first one, says Elim Oasis Director Darlene Walburg.
Elim Oasis is collaborating with Senior Resource Center, Cambridge, and Faith in Action, Elk River, to put it on. Cost is $20 (waived if unable to pay) and the workshop will consist of six 2 1/2-hour sessions each Friday, May 11 through June 15. Elim Oasis will provide free respite care for attendees at the Elim Oasis during the sessions. Call 763-631-1150 for more information and to preregister. Enrollment is limited.
