Police Report: Week of April 12
The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department between April 2 and April 8. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it occurred. The report was compiled by Jeff Hage.
Monday, April 2
11:43 a.m. A bicycle was reported stolen from the 500 block of south Rum River Drive. Bike valued at $30.
12:17 p.m. Two juveniles left the high school without permission. An officer located them and returned them to school.
Tuesday, April 3
2:50 a.m. A male was arrested on an active warrant out of Scott County in the 1100 block of 1st Street.
6:33 p.m. A large amount of smoke was reported coming from a residence at 903 7th Ave. N. Resident was burning leaves. Resident advised of city’s burning policies and advised to extinguish fire.
9:33 p.m. A covered five-gallon container with a chemical label was found at Highway 95 and the roundabout. Fire department was called to the scene. Bucket contained live minnows.
Wednesday, April 4
12:04 a.m. An individual in the 100 block of 4th Avenue S. accused another of stealing her laxative pills and shoes and a jacket belonging to her deceased sister. A POW sign was also alleged to have been stolen.
12:46 p.m. Garbage was reported to be illegally dumped in a dumpster in the 100 block of 6th Avenue S.
3:22 p.m. Officer was flagged down by a UPS driver in the 200 block of 11th Avenue N. after the driver observed a male lying in the yard needing assistance getting to his feet.
Thursday, April 5
12:12 a.m. A 19-year-old male was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for failing to signal a turn on Highway 95 at Rum River Dr.
4:55 a.m. A 17-year-old male was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process after a domestic dispute with his mother.
Saturday, April 7
3 a.m. A vehicle was pulled over on Rum River Drive and 2nd Street S. for failure to dim headlights. A 30-year-old male driver was arrested for carrying a loaded .44 magnum without a permit.
10:59 a.m. A couple got into an argument on Woodland Court. The female smashed an iPhone to the ground. Damage estimated at $400.
3:18 p.m. Jackie V. Bjork was arrested for suspicion of DWI after being pulled over because of erratic driving behavior. Driver failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the hospital for a blood draw and then booked into the Mille Lacs County Jail.
7:53 p.m. Responded to a structure fire at 309 15th Avenue S.
9:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a possible burglary in progress in the 800 block of 8th Avenue S. Officers located three juvenile suspects. Suspects taken to police department and released to their parents. Citations to be issued.
Sunday, April 8
1:55 a.m. Assisted the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department with a vehicle pursuit north on Highway 169. Driver was taken into custody.
