Police Report: Week of April 26
Monday, April 16
12:42 p.m. Mother concerned because of not being able to reach son for a week. Subject home and fine.
2:08 p.m. Complaint of loud music coming from vehicle on Rum River Drive South. Spoke with mother of driver to advise of complaint.
2:46 p.m. Two bottles of athletic supplements taken from athletic locker at high school for estimated $120 loss.
7:03 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County along Highway 95 with van full of intoxicated persons. Driver arrested for DWI and passengers detoxed. DWI name not listed because of agency assist.
8:24 p.m. Hit-and-run damage to vehicle sometime between 5 p.m. on April 15 and 6 p.m. on April 16 while vehicle parked in lot at 604 3rd St. S. Damage to driver’s side door.
11:30 p.m. Subject intentionally ingested 9 to 11 drug tablets. Subject taken to hospital.
Tuesday, April 17
8:10 a.m. Report of weapon on school bus. Principal had students exit bus at the middle school. “Weapon” turned out to be a flip comb made to look like a switch blade. School handled the discipline.
1:28 p.m. Home entered at 1306 2nd St. N. and an Xbox 360 game, a 27-inch flat-screen TV, HDMI cable and two controllers stolen for $550 loss.
7:03 p.m. Two males were reported catching and gutting fish along the Rum River behind the library, with concern the two may not have fishing licenses. Unable to locate.
7:10 p.m. Disturbance reported in which complainant said an intoxicated person wouldn’t leave complainant alone. Subject left prior to police arrival.
7:54 p.m. Mother reported her child not having returned from school. Child was located walking home. Officer spoke to child about her actions.
8:37 p.m. Ongoing issue reported of a vehicle with loud bass sound. Unable to locate.
8:55 p.m. Officer gave first aid to female who fell and had small cut on back of head.
10:22 p.m. Complaint of noise coming from two vehicles parked near building.
Wednesday, April 18
7:42 a.m. Two school buses parked outside were entered during the night and two fire extinguishers stolen for a $200 loss.
8:23 a.m. Vehicle towed after officer was unable to locate registered owner. Vehicle had broken down in front of high school.
3:14 p.m. Noninjury accident with more than $1,000 damage reported at the roundabout.
8:30 p.m. Officer requested to assist deputy with vehicle fire at Abney salvage yard. Princeton firefighters put out fire.
8:46 p.m. Officer requested to assist deputy with domestic involving knife. Stood by while deputy conducted investigation.
8:55 p.m. Assisted hospital staff in restraining subject on cot. Odor of alcohol detected.
8:58 p.m. Report of hit-and-run damage to car in Coborn’s lot between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Scratches and grapefruit-size dent reported.
9:07 p.m. Suspicious activity reported in area of city public works garage. Individuals dressed in black seen running from the woods near garage after squad car left scene.
9:32 p.m. Back window shattered, possible from a pellet gun, as vehicle was driving west of the roundabout.
Thursday, April 19
Verbal argument between property owner and complainant about property exchange. Officer advised both persons. Complainant decided to return in evening to get the rest of complainant’s property.
1:25 p.m. Report of student with razor blade on middle school property. Under investigation for charges.
2:20 p.m. Report of juvenile male inappropriately touching a juvenile female. Under investigation.
3:19 p.m. Report of customer at Holiday paying for coffee but leaving without paying for just over $50 in fuel. Officer left business card at residence for individual to call police.
6:41 p.m. A bike lock key valued at $2 possibly stolen during the day at middle school. Complainant noted that it also might have gotten lost.
9:23 p.m. Vague threat to kill reportedly made during a verbal confrontation by subject with complainant and daughters regarding loud noise. Officer left note on door for subject to call police about the incident.
Friday, April 20
2:30 a.m. Cited driver for driving after revocation.
8:06 a.m. Received report from Mille Lacs County that someone possibly taking money out of vulnerable adult’s checking account.
8:30 a.m. Small amount of marijuana found in area of Third Street and Golf Course Road. Placed into evidence room for destruction.
12:10 p.m. Removed wooden bench from northbound driving lane on bridge on Highway 169 and Rum River Drive South.
4:33 p.m. Cited driver for inattentive driving after police observed vehicle crossing fog line and center line and driver admitting to driving while on cell phone.
6:15 p.m. Cell phone reported lost on bus or stolen from locker. Officer returned cell phone to owner. Screen damaged on the phone which was estimated to cost $400.
6:50 p.m. Child’s bicycle found behind Family Pathways thrift store and placed in station.
9:16 p.m. Hit-and-run damage reported to vehicle parked on 100 block of Eleventh Avenue North.
10:18 p.m. Officer advised homeowner about the “large fire” in yard and explained ordinance on fire size and the burning of leaves.
Saturday, April 21
2:22 a.m. Stopped vehicle for cracked windshield and cited driver for driving after revocation and no insurance. Vehicle towed.
9:34 a.m. Complaint of multiple juveniles drinking alcohol the previous night at an apartment.
2:26 p.m. Suspicious vehicle seen at location. Officer identified driver who showed employee ID for private investigation company. Driver said he was working on a case.
7:09 p.m. Assisted person with possible cardiac arrest. Person taken to hospital.
9:44 p.m. Cited driver for no proof of insurance.
9:56 p.m. Gave oxygen to person who was possibly having stroke.
11:25 p.m. Advised driver who was in park after hours to leave.
Sunday, April 22
12:09 a.m. Assisted with traffic control at roundabout where a driver had driven over the roundabout and ended up in northwest ditch. State patrol arrested driver for DWI. Name of driver not in police report.
6:17 p.m. Sherburne authorities notified police about juvenile runaway. Police checked residence and were unable to contact juvenile.
7 p.m. Key found at U.S. Bank.
8:41 p.m. Stopped vehicle for loud muffler and display of false license plate. Arrested driver for attempt to escape motor vehicle tax, driving after revocation, no insurance, loud muffler and Pine County warrant for fourth degree assault on peace officer.
11:11 p.m. Spoke with driver over driving conduct. Complaint made of vehicle being all over the road. Officer observed vehicle going over center line.
