Allen Jerome Miller, Jr., 57, Princeton, died on Monday, May 14, 2012 at his home in Princeton.
Allen was born on October 13, 1954 in La Crosse, Wis., son of Allen Jerome and Barbara (Fitzgerald) Miller. The family moved to California briefly and then to Freeport, Ill. before moving to North Long Beach, Calif. in 1959. In June of 1966, the family moved to Princeton, where Allen continued his education graduating from Princeton High School in 1972.
He was united in marriage with Cynthia Jane Holland on Dec. 10, 1971 at Watertown, S.D. Following his graduation from high school, he worked with a few painting contractors in and out of the Twin Cities, before starting AJM Painting, Inc., which he owned and operated for more than 25 years.
Allen enjoyed golfing, fishing and snowmobiling, he also enjoyed playing softball. He was a man of integrity first and foremost. He meant a lot to many different people for different reasons. We can only wish to be as gracious and kind-hearted as he was.
He is survived by his daughter and son Stacy (Jeff) Thompson of Montello, Wis. and Chris (Leslie) Miller of Elk River; grandchildren Piper, Mason and Hayden; his mother Barbara Miller of Princeton; brother Terry (Vicki)
Miller of Princeton and sister Darla Miller of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his father: Allen “Chuck” Miller and brother Michael Miller.
A visitation was held last Saturday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton.
