Police Report: May 17, 2012
Monday, May 7
5:52 a.m. Rocks were thrown through three windows of South Elementary School. Also located at the scene was a blue scooter.
8:27 a.m. A foul smell was reported at U.S. Distilled Products. Plant manager said the company was working on its wastewater treatment plant.
10:16 a.m. Medical response to 123 Rum River Dr. S. where a 2-year-old suffered a large laceration to the back of the head after falling off the back of a chair and hitting his head on the floor and a broken plate.
Tuesday, May 8
3:08 a.m. Assisted Sherburne County with investigating a $60 gas drive-off at a Zimmerman gas station. Suspect was located in the 900 block of West Branch Street. Suspect returned to Zimmerman to pay the bill.
5:55 a.m. A suspicious person was reported sleeping in a foyer in the 600 block of 3rd Street S. Suspect was advised to leave.
12:51 p.m. A female walking on 2nd Street N. reported that a big, black dog ran out into the street and bit her in the buttock.
2:24 p.m. A female reported that her wedding ring and band were stolen from her residence on 18th Ave. N. Ring valued at $3,600.
Wednesday, May 9
2:17 p.m. A student pulled a fire alarm at Princeton Middle School.
Thursday, May 10
2:48 p.m. A person turning a vehicle around at 212 Rum River Dr. N. hit a landscaping rock, causing the vehicle’s air bags to deploy and causing damage to the undercarriage.
Friday, May 11
7:51 a.m. An ATV was reported stolen in the 1000 block of 7th Ave. N. It was recovered in the 1100 block of 8th Ave. N.
11:06 a.m. Wholesale Auto reported a vehicle stolen from their retail lot.
5:47 p.m. A woman on Meadowview Dr. reported the theft of numerous pieces of jewelry. Woman felt her daughter’s boyfriend was stealing it and pawning it. Pawnshops were checked. All but one piece had been pawned by victim’s daughter. The boyfriend pawned the one piece.
8:52 p.m. An altercation between two males in the memory care unit of the hospital was reported. One male called another a derogatory name. The other male responded by hitting the offender with his cane.
10:50 p.m. A male was reported to be drinking an alcoholic beverage inside McDonald’s. Officers located the male. He was drinking non alcoholic sparkling cider, but drinking it out of a paper sack so people could have construed that it was alcohol.
Saturday, May 12
12:51 a.m. Responded to a disturbance involving a knife in the 1100 block of 3rd St. N. When officers arrived the suspect no longer had a knife. He was restrained for safety reasons. He was placed on a 72-hour hold.
2:57 p.m. A Lund boat on a Spartan trailer with a 25 hp motor was reported stolen from the 1400 block of 7th St. N. Items valued at $9,000.
