Gwendolyn Susan (Meier) Johnson was born June 12, 1950 in Roseau, the daughter of Clinton and Helen (Anderson) Meier.
On May 4, 1967, Gwen was united in marriage with James Johnson in Milbank, S.D. The couple made their home in Minneapolis and were blessed with three children.
Her hobbies included gardening, camping, going to garage sales, cooking, baking and she loved her pets.
She worked for the City of Princeton at the municipal liquor store and had jobs cooking.
Gwen is survived by her husband James and children, Matthew (Teri) Johnson of Zimmerman, Shawntel (Brad) Peterson of Princeton, and Michael Johnson of Milaca. She is also survived by grandchildren Kylie, Logan, Tanner, Alyssa, Lauren, Blake, Teanna, and Carter.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and Helen Meier, sisters Lonna, and Marjorie, and brother Samuel.
A celebration of llfe was held on Monday, June 18 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers were Logan Peterson, Tanner Johnson, Blake Johnson, and Carter Johnson.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date and interment will be in St. Edward’s Catholic Cemetery.
