July 4 program to honor farmers
On Wednesday, July 4, the Princeton American Legion Post 216 will once again be organizing a celebration to honor America.
This year we will be honoring those who for years have been feeding this great nation, the American farmers. We will be having an old-time tractor display area. If you have a special tractor that you would like to display from 5 to 9 p.m., call Jim at 763-389-5569 to reserve your spot.
As in the years past, this is a family event which is free to the public. Please join us at the Mille Lacs County Fairgrounds.
The grounds will be open at 5 p.m. so you can pick your best viewing spot. There will be a short program beginning around 9:50 p.m. with the fireworks starting around 10:15 p.m.
We are still accepting donations to help pay for the fireworks. We have a fund at Bremer Bank and will be accepting donations the night of the event.
Please come out on the Fourth and help celebrate our country and honor those who have helped to feed this great nation, our farmers.
