Marilynn Lorraine (Rovang) Keeler was born July 25, 1922 in Glendorado, the daughter of George and Manda (Satrom) Rovang.
Marilynn was baptized and confirmed at Glendorado Lutheran Church as well as united in marriage with her husband, Carold Keeler.
The couple moved around during their early marriage years as Carold was in the military and were able to enjoy traveling as part of their retirement later in life. Marilyn was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and made beautiful dresses in traditional Norwegian fashion. She was very good at crafts and would make old coats into teddy bears. After spending 52 years on the family farm near Princeton, Marilynn moved into town and quickly became recognized by her daily walks.
She was active as a lifetime member of Glendorado Lutheran Church giving of her talents particularly by quilting and baking. She was a member of the Princeton Legion Auxiliary, enjoyed listening to music, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marilynn is survived by her daughter Laverne (Mike) Voronyak of Golden Valley; son David of St. Cloud; grandchildren Troy (Kristi) Keeler of Zimmerman and Tracy (Joe) Bassamore of Princeton; great-granddaughters Shelby and Madeline Bassamore; as well as other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Carold and grandson, Jonn Voronyak.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Glendorado Lutheran Building Fund or Cemetery Fund.
Memorial services were Monday, June 11 at Glendorado Lutheran Church of God’s Greater Glory Parish.
