Police report: Week of June 21
Tuesday, June 12
2:47 p.m. A juvenile female was cited for driving 80 in a 65 mph zone on Highway 169 at Rum River Dr. She was also driving without a driver’s license.
8:41 p.m. Officers were asked to check a Princeton residence for an individual involved in an assault in Sherburne County.
9:11 p.m. Counseled a male who was reported to be riding a bike while holding onto the passenger side of a car southbound on Rum River Drive in the area of 12th St. N.
Wednesday, June 13
8:35 a.m. Department received information regarding possible property in a vehicle at a residence on West Branch St. A search warrant was obtained and executed. Stolen property was recovered. Vehicle was towed.
8:35 a.m. A suspicious person was reported in the bushes with binoculars looking at Princeton High School. It was determined that the man was a concerned parent making sure his child was attending school.
Thursday, June 14
11:21 a.m. Assisted the Public Utilities Commission with a power shut-off on Old Highway 18.
5:09 p.m. A person was in the Washboard laundromat using a squirt gun with a child. The suspect became belligerent when approached by the owner. A minor physical confrontation then occurred. Suspect left by time police arrived. He was located and talked to about proper behavior. He has been banned from the business.
11:34 p.m. Assisted the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department with a burglary in progress on 75th Avenue.
Friday, June 15
1:41 a.m. Assisted the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department and the State Patrol with a vehicle rollover accident with a person trapped inside on Highway 95 at 74th Avenue. Officers assisted with first aid and traffic control. Male was airlifted. Vehicle was reported stolen out of Isanti County.
3:58 p.m. A shoplifting complaint was reported at Coborn’s. Suspect was found to have drug paraphernalia in her purse. She was also wanted on a Crow Wing County warrant.
Saturday, June 16
2:24 a.m. Officer stopped to check on a vehicle parked on the side of the road with its hazard lights on at Rum River Drive and Highway 169. Nicole Mitchell, age 19, was arrested for 4th degree DWI and booked into the Sherburne County Jail. The vehicle was impounded.
7:12 p.m. An intoxicated male was reported to be running through a neighborhood and across Highway 169. Suspect was found in a ditch of southbound Highway 169 north of Highway 95. He was released to a sober friend. He blew a .225 on a breath test.
Sunday, June 17
5:03 p.m. A male called police after receiving a phone call from a friend in Pine County who said he crashed his dirt bike and was injured. Pine County Sheriff’s Department was contacted and EMS called to the scene. Subject was located.
Monday, June 18
1:29 a.m. Dispatch received a 911 hang-up. Officers responded to residence and found an intoxicated husband and wife. Male had a large bump on his head and bruising around his eye. He said his wife hit him. A 21-year-old female was arrested for domestic assault.
