A 29-year-old Princeton man was arrested Thursday, July 5 on suspicion of burglary in connection of an incident at a Baldwin Township residence.
Duwayne Leese, 29, Princeton, was apprehended by Sherburne County deputies after fleeing the scene of the alleged burglary and leading deputies on a foot pursuit into a wooded area, according to Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott.
Michael Granberg, of the 13800 block of 298th Avenue in Baldwin Township, called 911 at about 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, Brott said.
Granberg reported that he heard noises coming from his attached garage and believed a burglary was in progress.
Granberg told investigators that he walked out to investigate and saw Leese standing in the garage holding a weapon owned by Granberg, Brott said.
Leese fled but the caller was able to give authorities an excellent description and a direction of travel. Leese was arrested minutes after the call was placed, Brott said.
