A Princeton woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vhicle crash at about 12:30 p.m. on Monday, July 16 on Highway 169 at 55th Street near Long Siding.
Doris Strombeck, age 82 of Princeton, was the lone passenger in a 1996 Chevrolet Astro Van that collided with a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Kirk Mollet, age 22, of Milaca.
Strombeck was transported from the scene by ambulance. A passenger in Mollet’s vehicle, Kylee Sheck, age 20 of Foreston, was also transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Mollet and passengers Kaydi Salgren, age18 of Milaca and Pamela Ransom, age 21 of Milaca, went to the hospital in a private vehicle. They were treated and released.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Strombeck was eastbound on 55th Street and crossed into Highway 169. She allegedly stopped in median, but then pulled out in front
of the Mollet vehicle, which was northbound in right lane of Highway169.
Strombeck told investigators that she did not see the Mollet vehicle and does not know why, because she stopped and looked.
