The filing period for local elections in the city of Princeton and Princeton School Board opened Tuesday and ends on Aug. 14 at 5 p.m.
The requirements to file are a $2 filing fee, be at least age 21 and eligible to vote, and must maintain residency in the involved district for 30 days prior to the general election. The general election will be Nov. 6.
The positions up for election in the city of Princeton are mayor for two years, and two city council seats for four years each.
The mayoral position is held by Jeremy Riddle and the two council seats are occupied by Dick Dobson and Victoria Hallin. School Board seats open for election include those currently held by Dennis Dehn, Jim Gibbs, Erin Johnson, Kathy Kraft and Jeremy Miller.
