Update: Bremer Bank robbed

The Princeton branch of Bremer Bank was robbed Friday, Aug. 3.

The robbery was reported at 11:05 a.m., according to the Princeton Police

It’s the noon hour on Friday, Aug. 3 and the shades are pulled down at the drive-thru window of Bremer Bank in Princeton. The paper in the window says: “This office is temporarily closed due to a business interruption.”

The bank, located at 202 Rum River Drive S., was robbed by a lone white female, described to be 5’5” to 5’8” in height with a medium build, according to Sgt. Joe Backlund. She was wearing a red and white mesh baseball cap, red t-shirt, neon green vest and blue jeans.

The woman left on foot in an easterly direction following the robbery. Witness accounts indicate the woman might have left the area on a light blue men’s mountain bike, Backlund said.

A search was conducted of the area with the assistance of Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit.

The robbery comes about six months after a white female robbed the Peoples State Bank on February 10. The suspect in that robbery also fled thescene on foot.

While Friday’s suspect was decribed as 5’5” to 5’8” in height with a medium build, the suspect in the February bank robbery was described as 5’3” to 5’6” in height with a thin build.
