It was a crisp first-day-of-autumn morning for the 3rd annual Kinship 5K Fun Run / Walk which took to the streets of Princeton Sept. 22. Proceeds for the event support Kinship Youth Mentoring of Princeton which connects adult mentors with youth ages 5-15.
Travis Bukosky of Princeton (19:05) and Jacob Wernersbach of Zimmerman (19:28) turned in the top 5K times on Saturday. The top female times were run by Jordan Seethaler of Ramsey (22:24) and Megan Johnson of Dayton (23:15).
Kinship director Jeanne Bromberg thanked all participants who supported the 5K and role-modeled for the kids. She added that more mentors are always needed; call the office at 763-631-5967 or e-mail [email protected] if interested.
The next Kinship event is the Punkin’ Chunkin’ Festival, hosted from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 on the field north of Madre Loca (Hwy. 95 & 21st Ave. N.)
