Travis Chmielewski took a Zack Ludwig slant and turned it into a 59-yard touchdown reception late in the third quarter. That turned into the winning difference when the host Princeton Football squad defeated St. Cloud Cathedral 35-28 Sept. 28.
The catch– Chmielewski’s second TD of the night– had the Tigers up 35-21. The Crusaders answered back with a 33-yard bomb on the first play of the fourth quarter to cut it to 35-28. The Tiger defense then forced SCC to twice turn the ball over on downs, including the final possession stopped inside Princeton territory when T.J. Sundberg and Nate Hoffer worked for huge sacks on three consecutive pass attempts.
The victory improved the Tigers’ record to 3-2 this season.
