Monday afternoon rollover on Highway 95

There were no injuries reported in a vehicle rollover at about 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15 on Highway 95, about 1 1/2 miles east of Princeton.

But there was quite a mess left along the southbound side of the highway.

Timothy Bige, 51 of Brook Park, was driving on Highway 95 in a 1992 Ford F150 pick-up . Bige was pulling a 24-foot trailer that had upon it a Dodge one-ton truck and scrap items. Inside the bed of the pick-up were a number of used tires.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Bige told Troopers that the trailer started fishtailing, so he went to brake. The trailer went left in a jackknife fashion, pushing the whole unit off the road, forcing the unit to roll over.

The truck, trailer and its contents were towed from the scene by Collins Brothers Towing of Elk River.

Bige was cited for unsafe equipment, the State Patrol stated.
