The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department between Sept. 24-Oct. 1. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it ocurred. The report was compiled by Jeff Hage.
Monday, Sept. 24
2:53 p.m. A 50-year-old male was arrested on West Branch Street for violating a no-contact order.
7:27 p.m. A gas drive-off in the amount of $25.38 was reported at Little Dukes. The suspect returned to settle the bill.
11:34 p.m. A 24-year-old male was apprehended in the 1100 block of 9th Avenue N. on a outstanding warrant out of Anoka county for selling liquor to a minor.
Tuesday, Sept. 25
1:07 a.m. A 19-year-old male was arrested on Highway 95 at 100th Avenue for underage possession of alcohol.
11:23 a.m. Police were given a letter by Union-Eagle staff that appeared suicidal in nature. Suspect was located and hospitalized.
Wednesday, Sept. 26
5:37 a.m. A 45-year-old male was arrested in the 500 block of 5th Ave. N. for fleeing a police officer on an ATV.
8:30 a.m. Officers received a report of a juvenile male possessing a knife on a school bus. Student located and talked to. Knife was confiscated.
8:30 a.m. A pair of Dr. Dre Beats headphones were reported stolen. Headphones valued at $320.
10:10 a.m. A juvenile reported being assaulted by another juvenile. The student reported that a day earlier an suspect also assaulted the juvenile with a wrench.
6:19 p.m. A digital stop clock was found by a citizen. Sticker on back said PHS. Officer to check with school.
Thursday, Sept. 27
10:10 a.m. A deck fire was reported in the 400 block of south Rum River Dr.
2:27 p.m. A juvenile female reported $165 cash being taken from a purse in a school locker room.
Friday, Sept. 28
1:05 a.m. Responded to an accident in the 800 block of Highway 169 S.
3:21 a.m. A male reported taking three bottles of cough syrup and 54 tablets of valium. Suspect taken to hospital and put on 72-hour hold.
Saturday, Sept. 29
Craig S. Handeland, age 30, was arrested for suspicion of DWI in the 200 block of south Rum River Dr. He tested .22 in preliminary breath test. He was originally pulled over for driving in the wrong lane of traffic on Rum River Drive.
11:13 p.m. The theft of tools was reported from the back of a truck parked in the 100 block of 6th Avenue S.
Sunday, Sept. 30
12:44 p.m. A 12 gauge shotgun in a black case fell off a truck traveling southbound on Rum River Drive. A witness put in under a bush near Pizza Hut. Officer took gun to police station for storing.
