Princeton girls ready to host 7A tourney game
Fresh off their Granite Ridge championship, the Princeton girls soccer team earned the No. 1 seed for the Section 7A tournament. The Tigers will host No. 8 Duluth Marshall on Saturday, Oct. 13 (1 p.m.) in the section quarterfinals. The Hilltoppers got past No. 9 Grand Rapids 3-1 in the Oct. 11 play-in game.
A victory that day would next get Princeton a home game for the Oct. 16 semifinals. The Section 7A championship will be Oct. 18 (7 p.m.) on Denfeld’s Public Stadium field.
More quarterfinal matchups on Saturday: #2 Hermantown vs #10 Chisago Lakes; #3 Esko vs. #6 North Branch; #4 Cloquet vs. #5 Duluth Denfeld.
