One injured after vehicle hits tree

Princeton firefighters, along with police and deputies, responded to a one-car collision with a tree at Rum River Drive North and 17th Street, inside Mille Lacs County, just north of city limits at about 10:25 a.m. Sunday.

Firefighters had to extricate the driver, Marie Annette Burns, 47, of Princeton, as the doors wouldn’t open, Fire Chief Jim Roxbury said. The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department reported that Burns didn’t recall what had happened. Roxbury said the car crashed into a tree on the east side of Rum River Drive. The car was totaled.
