Tigers earn trip to the Dome
The Princeton High School football team built a 21-7 lead only to see the Detroit Lakes Lakers tie the game.
The Lakers kicker Christian Tigges missed a game-winning field goal with about 30 seconds left in the game to send the teams into overtime.
Tigges missed a field goal in overtime that also would have given the Lakers a win.
With the score tied 28-28 after three overtimes, Lakers kicker Tigges hit a field goal to put Detroit Lakes up 31-28.
The Tigers took the ball and on third and two senior running back Austin Feero made his way into the endzone to give Princeton a 34-31 win and a trip to the Metrodome at 4:30 p.m. next Friday to face Holy Family.
