ECM Publishers, Inc. honored the advertising and news staffs of its 51 publications on Monday, Nov. 12 and the Town & Country and Princeton Union-Eagle brought home some of the company’s most prestigious awards. The Town & Country won the honor of General Advertising Excellence for shoppers, the publisher’s top award for advertising. The Union-Eagle took second place in the same award for newspapers. Sales representative Becky Southard and the Town & Country’s design team also brought home a first-place award for an individual ad designed and printed in the publication.
On the news side, the Princeton Union-Eagle was presented the first-place award for best editorial page. Editor Jeff Hage took first place as ECM’s top columnist. He also earned a second-place award for sports photography and an honorable mention award for feature photography.
Gary Larson, of the Union-Eagle’s sister publication the Mille Lacs County Times, won multiple awards for his coverage of Milaca sports.
