Ulm wins write-in seat for school board

Deb Ulm was elected to the Princeton School District Board of Education in the Nov. 6 general election. No candidates filed for a two-year term in a special election, which allowed for a write-in candidate to claim the seat. Ulm was the top write-in candidate with 420 of the 852 votes cast in the election. The seat was open because of the resignation of Karen Metcalf last December. She filled one year of her four-year term. Erin Johnson was appointed to fill the seat in 2012 and did not seek election for the final two years of the term.
