A Christmas Carol comes to the stage

Giant Step of Rum River and Princeton Community Education presents the holiday classic story of “A Christmas Carol,” at the Northern Lights Ballroom in Pease.

With the launching of Rum River Regional Stage Arts, a nonprofit theatrical organization, the first project will be to present this heartwarming family classic.

This song-filled adaptation of Dickens’ classic tale reawakens the true spirit of Christmas in a heart-stirring carol of profound joy and redemption.

It plays in the spacious Northern Lights Ballroom Dinner Theatre on the weekends of December 14, 15, 16 and 21, 22, 23. Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 12:30 p.m.

Under the direction of David and Cheryl Braddock of Giant Step Theatre, “A Christmas Carol” tells the tale of the stingy old miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come, hoping to change his destiny and save his humanity.

The 32-member cast is from around the Rum River area.

Reservations are required by calling 320-369-4622, at a cost of $29.95 per person for general seating.
