Police Report: Dec. 3-Dec. 10
The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department between December 3-December 10. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it occurred. The report was compiled by Jeff Hage.
Monday, Dec. 3
8:35 a.m. Christmas lights were reported to be cut in the 1200 block of Pine Lane.
9:25 a.m. A work truck failed to yield in the roundabout and hit the mirror of a vehicle. The company that owns the truck agreed to take care of costs to repair.
1:02 p.m. A juvenile female was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at the high school. She had in her possession a dugout box and a one-hitter.
3:12 p.m. A bicyclist whipped out in front of a vehicle on First Street and Rum River Drive and was hit by the vehicle. Bicyclist said he was fine and took off on his bike.
3:24 p.m. A front license plate was reported to be stolen off a vehicle in the 600 block of Rum River Drive S.
4:34 p.m. A 54-year-old female was arrested for stealing $302 of merchandise from Shopko Hometown.
4:36 p.m. More than $3,000 in jewelry was reported in a burglary in the 400 block of 5th Ave. N.
7:47 p.m. A fire was reported at 909 9th Ave. N. Complainant reported that smoke was pouring out of the rafters. Fire Department responded. No sign of fire could be found.
Tuesday, Dec. 4
2:09 a.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with a report of a vehicle in a ditch on 100th Avenue at 17th Street.
3:24 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with an arrest of a suspect for second degree burglary in the 16200 block of 100th Avenue.
Wednesday, Dec. 5
12 noon A juvenile male was cited at the middle school for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
3:30 p.m. A male complainant reported about $20,000 of fraudulent use on his credit card. Complainant later told officer that he wanted to drop his complaint because an investigation would destroy his family.
3:37 p.m. Complainant reported his company had sold a boom truck at auction for $128,505. Auction winner stopped payment on the check on Dec. 4 and returned the truck on Dec. 5. Officer advised that it was a civil matter.
Thursday, Dec. 6
2:47 p.m. A juvenile male was cited at the high school for possession of tobacco and drug paraphernalia.
Friday, Dec. 7
2:11 a.m. Responded to a vehicle crash on Highway 169 off-ramp and South Rum River Drive. No injuries reported.
12:13 p.m. Responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 169 and South Rum River Drive. No injuries reported. Damage estimated at over $1,000.
3:51 p.m. Responded to a vehicle crash on Rum River Drive and 9th Circle 3. No injuries reported.
3:58 p.m. Complainant reported selling a table on Craigslist for $400. He received a money order in the mail asking that the change be returned to the sender. Complainant’s bank determined he was the victim of fraudulent activity.
5 p.m. Four solar-powered Christmas ornaments were reported stolen from a grave site at the cemetery.
Saturday, Dec. 8
5:51 a.m. A vehicle was pulled over in the 1100 block of 7th Ave. S. for operating with blue lights under the vehicle. A 49-year-old male was arrested for obstructing with force, providing false information to a police officer and possession of a 5th degree controlled substance.
7:39 p.m. Two babies were reported to be left unattended for 20 minutes in a vehicle outside of Coborn’s.
10:19 p.m. Officers were asked to remove three males from McDonalds who were eating inside the lobby and drinking beer.
Sunday, Dec. 9
7:03 p.m. Assisted the State Patrol with a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the 700 block of Highway 95. Driver was arrested by State Patrol.
