Henry “Hank” Bost, age 78 of Zimmerman, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on January 24, 2013.
He was a Korean War veteran, and a long-time member of St. John Lutheran Church. He was also a devoted volunteer and was recently inducted into the Three Rivers Community Foundation Hall of Fame. He retired from Federal Cartridge Company after 3o-plus years of dedicated service. He was also a part-time taxidermist. Hank enjoyed being with his family, playing guitar, singing and entertaining.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce on Nov 27, 2012, son Randy, parents Henry C. & Pearl E. Nunn; brothers Clarence “Shorty,” Lawrence “Bud” and William; sisters Ruth Sproessig, Wilma Rotz and Rosemary Littlewolf.
He is survived by his children Timothy, Nancy (Kevin) Hiller, Garry (Susan), Christine (Robert) Sandberg, Matthew (fiancé Jennifer Hauser), Mark (Jessica), Angel (Joseph) Rosa, Kathleen (Thomas) Budish and Peter; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother John (Loretta), Aunt Doris Jaenicke and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 28 at St John’s Lutheran Church, Zimmerman. Interment Bellwood Cemetery, Zimmerman.
Memorials preferred to CAER of Elk River or Passing the Bread of Zimmerman in lieu of flowers.
