Milaca keeps hold of county wrestling title

At the Jan. 17 Mille Lacs County Wrestling triangular hosted by Princeton, Milaca retained its county-wide title by defeating the Tigers 43-18 and Mille Lacs 62-13.  The Tigers added a 68-15 win over the Raiders to split its matches.

The following day, the Tiger grapplers placed 4th at the eight-team New London-Spicer Invite won the 8th-ranked host Wildcats. Winning titles for Princeton were Billy McClay (160) and Dylan Auren (132). Wyatt Ross was 2nd at 170.

PHS swim tops Apollo

The Tiger boys swim & dive team posted its first win of the season by defeating St. Cloud Apollo 94-90 Jan. 17. The Tigers two 400 Free Relays placed the necessary 2nd and 3rd in order to slip past the Eagles. Nicholas Johnson took 1st in the  100 Breaststroke, 100 Butterfly and on the 200 Free Relay.
