Princeton elementary school teacher and head girls basketball coach Aaron Johnson resigned on Friday, Feb. 8.
The Princeton Board of Education accepted the resignation on Thursday, Feb. 14 after meeting in closed session for more than an hour and a half.
The school district’s attorney said the resignation was accepted with no conditions and with no strings attached.
Johnson was first placed on paid administrative leave on November 29, 2012, pending the outcome of a district investigation into allegations made against him.
After reviewing the findings of the investigation, Mille Lacs County Attorney Jan Jude declined to file charges.
The allegations against Johnson didn’t rise to a criminal level, Jude said.
The Feb. 14 closed meeting came after the board met in closed session on January 22.
