Tigers fall to Crusaders in boys hockey

Princeton’s Dan Muench broke a St. Cloud Cathedral 3-0 lead at 1:38 of the third period in the Tigers’ 5-1 loss to the Crusaders Tuesday night in St. Cloud.

Cam Paulson and Collin Buness got the assists on the Tigers’ lone goal.

Cathedral scored two goals in the first period and a third in the second to build its 3-0 lead. The Crusaders added two more goals later in the third period.

Princeton had just 17 shots on goal in the game. Tiger goal Max Mattson faced 39 shots.

The Tigers have a 16-5-1 record after Tuesday’s loss. They are 3-1 in the Granite Ridge Conference and have a one-game lead over Cathedral in the standings.
