Vikings defeat Princeton girls in section playoffs
No. 3 seed North Branch withstood a Princeton rally in the final minutes to win the Feb. 26 Section 7AAA quarterfinal matchup 48-39. The Tigers close the season with a 12-15 overall record.
Jenna Doyle scored 10 and Kayleigh Kloncz had 7 points for Princeton. The Vikings next face No. 2 Grand Rapids in the March 1 semifinals at Duluth Denfeld. Top-seed Chisago Lakes and No. 4 Hibbing advanced to the other semifinals.
