Five injured in crash at 169 and County 12
Three Milaca residents were among five injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday, March 7 on Highway 169 north of Long Siding.
The crash happened at 10:30 a.m. on March 7 at the Highway 169 intersection with County Road 12.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Amanda McVay, 25, of Milaca, had stopped her car at a stop sign on County Road 12. When she tried to cross Highway 169, her car was hit broadside by a northbound pickup truck driven by Roger Hartneck, 71, of Annandale. McVay had two passengers in her car: four-year-old Isaiah Tadych and three-year-old Edward Tadych, both of Milaca. Hartneck and Darlene Hartneck, 63, of Annandale, a passenger in the pickup who sustained serious injuries, were taken to North Memorial Hospital. McVay and the Tadych boys suffered minor injuries and were treated at Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton.
