Nearly 75 booths are planned for the Princeton Business and Community Expo on Saturday, March 23.
The free expo, held 9 a.m.-2 p.m., will be at Princeton High School. The Just For Kix dance group will entertain during the expo in the school’s performing arts center. For the first time, entertainment will not require an additional admission fee.
Among the planned booths will be two chiropractic businesses, a new thrift store, a bed and breakfast, a hair/skin/nails salon, two politicians, a farmers market, hospital/pharmacy services, city police and fire departments, the city splash park, an update on the project to rehabilitate the city civic center, home building center businesses, Friends of Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge and a discount food business.
If you didn’t see the Princeton Area Visionary Committee’s scale model of its planned Riverside Park amphitheater at last year’s expo, the committee plans to have it on display this year, too. One of Princeton’s newest businesses, Bake You Happy custom cupcakes, will have its creations available for purchase. Chamber coordinator Mary Chapman is working to get some local activities/sports booster clubs to vend food, as well.
Similar to last year, the expo offers a chance to enter a drawing to win either a large screen TV or an iPod dock. Entrants must go on a scavenger hunt at the expo and collect answers to questions found at expo participants’ booths. Attendees can also get their name in a drawing for a prize valued at $100 by visiting the expo’s featured chamber of commerce members.
You can help the food shelf by bringing a nonperishable food item to place in the expo’s food shelf collection box.
