Tiger track teams get indoor workout in Foley

In their lone chance to compete against other teams last week, the Princeton track & field squads held their own at an April 16 meet moved indoors to the Foley fieldhouse. Along with the Tigers and Falcons, more teams inside were St. Cloud Cathedral, Albany, Mora and Zimmerman, with no team scores kept.

The Princeton girls worked for top placings from several athletes: Katie Bialka (1st 55-meter dash, 1st 55m hurdles), Taylor Laabs (1st 200m, 1st triple jump, 4th long jump), Jadyn Bonasera (2nd shot put), Anna Oakes (2nd 400m), Ashley Urman (3rd 1600m, 4th high jump, 4th 800m), Maddy Wood (4th 400m), and the 1st-place 4×200 relay (Bialka, Wood, Laabs, Oakes).

Ashley Urman took 4th in the high jump and 3rd in the 1600m at the April 16 indoor meet.

The Princeton boys’ top placers were Matt Wendorff taking 1st in the shot put and 3rd in the high jump, and Chase Lindenfelser posting the quickest time in the 55m hurdles. More Tiger leaders were: Tate Walquist (2nd high jump, 4th in pole vault), Jordan Kittock (3rd 400m), Cody Schuelke (6th 200m), Ryan Yonak-Cline (8th 800, 8th 1600m), Chase Arens (6th 1600), Bailey Carlberg (4th in pole vault), Nate Hoffer (8th in long jump) and Nolan Hanson (8th in shot).
