Hospital hosting family fest

Enjoy a fun evening of health, wellness and entertainment at Family Fest – a free community event at Fairview Northland Medical Center from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 14. This fun event will feature lots of interactive activities designed to keep the entire family healthy and safe.
Activities include performances by the popular Teddy Bear Band, behind the scene tours, health screenings and the opportunity to ask health questions to a variety of Fairview health care providers. Visitors can dunk community members, including Mayor Paul Whitcomb, reporter Jeff Hage and principal John Beach to raise money for a new city park bench. You can get up close to a fire truck, police car, ambulance and medical helicopter. At 7 p.m., watch a local K9 demonstration and take part in the scavenger hunt for a chance to win an iPad Mini. The free fun also includes a bounce house and face painting. There are children’s bike helmet fittings and $5 bike helmets for sale while supplies last.  Food also will be available for purchase.
The event will be held rain or shine, and is free and open to the public. Visit fairview.org/funfest for more information.  Fairview Northland Medical Center is located at 911 Northland Dr. in Princeton.
