The Princeton Legion baseball squad fell to host Mora 3-1 in North End League play July 1. The team is 9-4 on the 2013 summer season.

Mora scored two runs in the first inning on a single and a triple, then Princeton starter Zack Ludwig followed with six strong innings to keep the Mustangs in check. Ludwig added two hits on offense, and Chance Parker scored the lone Princeton run.

On July 8, Princeton hosted a tough Coon Rapids squad who left town with an 8-0 victory. Coon Rapids totaled 16 hits, including several shots that turned into key run-scoring extra-base hits. Ludwig and Thomas Klaphake shared pitching duties for Princeton.

Post #216 could not come up with the big hit to dent the scoreboard. Klaphake bunted for a hit and reached third base in the third inning before being stranded. Sam Archer walked and Klaphake reached on an error in the fifth, but a fly out and strikeout followed.

Zack Ludwig threw well Monday night at home, but Coon Rapids feasted on fast balls and the Princeton defense did not make the big plays in an 8-0 loss.
