‘Meet Football Tigers’ & Fall sports opening action this week

The fourth annual “Meet the Tigers” Princeton football intersquad scrimmage night will be held Thursday, Aug. 15 on John Harvey Field at the high school. The free event begins at 6 p.m.

Tiger Cards sold by the Princeton Football Booster Club will be on sale that night for $10, with proceeds benefitting the Tiger football program that reached the Class 4A State semifinals last season.

Princeton football will scrimmage at Little Falls on Saturday, Aug. 24 against Grand Rapids, Pequot Lakes and the Flyers (9 a.m.). The 2013 home opener will be Thursday, Aug. 29 (7 p.m.) against Monticello to mark the Tigers’ return to the Mississippi 8 Conference.

Cross Country: Aug. 22 Mississippi 8 Jamboree at St. Francis (10 a.m.); Aug. 29 Princeton Invite at Fairway Shores GC (4 p.m.).

Girls Soccer: Aug. 22 home opener vs. Sauk Rapids (4:30 p.m.); Aug. 24 home vs. St. Francis (5 p.m.).

Volleyball: Aug. 22 at Zimmerman (7 p.m.); Aug. 24 home opener vs. St. Cloud Apollo (1:30 p.m.).
