Police Report: Week of Aug. 8

The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department between July 29 and Aug. 5. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it occurred. The report was compiled by Jeff Hage.

Monday, July 29
2:48 a.m. Officer made contact with a male walking around inside the hospital. The man thought he was in Illinois and may have been assaulted. He admitted himself for an evaluation.
10:25 a.m. A gas drive-off in the amount of $38.64 was reported at Holiday. Officer contacted suspect, who returned and paid.
11:35 a.m. A person reported that approximately $10,000 was charged to two credit cards.
12:49 p.m. Assisted the State Patrol with a three-vehicle accident on Highway 95 at Rice Lake Road.
4:06 p.m. A 911 call requesting the immediate help of an officer was received from the 100 block of Old 18 Circle. Caller then immediately hung up. An 18-year-old female was arrested.
5:52 p.m. A person took a box of Dilly Bars from the freezer at Dairy Queen and left without paying. Theft valued at $9.99.
8:18 p.m. Officers responded to a verbal dispute in the 1200 block of Third Street North.
Tuesday, July 30
4:17 a.m. Officer attempted to locate about 30 cows on the road on 85th Avenue for the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department.
2:13 p.m. Responded to a verbal domestic dispute in the 1000 block of Eighth Avenue North.
7:49 p.m. A bomb threat was reported at Walmart.
Wednesday, July 31
3:50 p.m. A truck was hit by a car in the roundabout. There was major damage reported to the car. The truck sustained moderate damage.
9:11 p.m. A juvenile who resides on 18th Avenue North was reported as a runaway.
10:02 p.m. Responded to the 100 block of Rum River Drive North on a report of an unknown substance. Substance was identified as the liquid from an electronic cigarette.
10:39 p.m. Officer observed a light on in a building in the 1900 block of First Street with a suspicious vehicle in front of it. Officer located a male walking from the building. The 64-year-old male was wanted on an Anoka County warrant and taken into custody.
Thursday, Aug. 1
4:18 a.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with an animal complaint on Highway 95 at 140th Avenue.
5:07 p.m. Investigated a report of a bald male looking into a vehicle at a vacant property.
10:36 p.m. Responded to a domestic dispute between a male and a female inside Walmart. There was a no-contact order issued against the male in regards to the female. The male drove off in a vehicle.
Friday, Aug. 2
5:07 a.m. Suspicious activity was reported in Riverside Park. A person camping reportedly had people over to his tent. Extra patrol was requested.
9 a.m. The theft of two bicycles was reported from the 700 block of Third Street North.
11:08 a.m. A bucket, fork, chain saw, ratchets, binders, chains and an electric grease gun were reported stolen from the 1600 block of 10th Street South. Stolen items valued at $4,040.
Saturday, Aug. 3
12:09 a.m. K-9 unit assisted Mille Lacs County with a felony traffic stop Highway 169 at 80th Street. Passenger was wanted on felony warrants out of Sherburne and Itasca counties.
8 p.m. A gas drive-off was reported at Little Dukes.
11:55 p.m. An intoxicated male was reported walking in a roadway. Officer located suspect lying in a yard in the 800 block of Rum River Drive North. Suspect was transported to his residence.
Sunday, Aug. 4
1:21 a.m. A vehicle was stopped after driving over a curb and onto the grass from Rum River Drive between Sixth and Seventh Avenue North. The suspect then drove north on  Fifth Avenue North. Paul Rogalski, 18, was arrested for DWI-test refusal and fifth-degree possession.
8:49 a.m. Two people were taking items from the donation bin at the Family Pathways Thrift Store, 605 S. Rum River Drive.
11:14 a.m. A boys bike was reported stolen from the 800 block of Seventh Avenue North.
7:44 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with a disturbance in the 3400 block of 85th Avenue. Weapons were reported to be involved.
8:30 p.m. A person was bit in the face by a dog in the 1200 block of Second Street North.
