Three taken to hospital following crash

Three people were taken to area hospitals after a serious crash Monday, July 29 on Highway 95 at Rice Lake Road. According to the Minnesota State Patrol: Victoria Edwards, 41 of Elk River, was westbound on Highway 95 in a 2012 Mazda CX-9. She had stopped and was waiting for eastbound traffic to clear in order to turn left onto Rice Lake Road. Hien Cong Vo, 48 of Sartell, was westbound on Highway 95 in a 1998 Honda Accord driving behind the Edwards vehicle. Vo was driving about 60 mph and collided into the rear of Edwards’ vehicle. A third vehicle, a 2000 Dodge Durango pick-up, driven by Gerald Sager, 33 of Princeton, went off the road and into the south ditch. Edwards and passenger Holly Fix, 32 of St. Louis Park, were taken by ambulance to Fairview Northland Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Vo was taken by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Sager and his passenger, Derek Meyer, 29 of Foley, were not injured.
