Princeton scored 214 points to place third at its own Tiger Relays to kick off the girls swimming & diving season Aug. 29.
Cambridge-Isanti won the preseason workout with 274 points, and Milaca was second at 224. Also competing were Chisago Lakes (210), St. Cloud (180) and Duluth Denfeld (140).
The Tiger varsity was led by a handful of runner-up finishes across the nine events. The 200 Freestyle relay of Emily Cooley, Julia Woodward, Amanda Johnson and Montana Lawrence finished at 1:51.3– just 3/10s of a second back of C-I’s entrant. Megan Gourley was second in the diving relays with 162.6 points. The 3×100 Backstroke of Sophie Hoffer, Gabrielle Donais and Woodward finished second at 3:42.2.
Placing third for the Tigers was the 400 Free Relay of Cooley, Jordan Spencer, Emma Carlberg and Donais at 4:33, and the 200 Butterfly Relay of Emma Carlberg, Montana Thompson, Megan Carlberg and Lawrence at 2:14.
Next up: The Tigers host Cambridge-Isanti in the Mississippi 8 dual season opener Sept. 5 (6 p.m.).
