Joy Duresky


Joy Duresky, age 41 of Princeton, passed away suddenly in her home on Monday, September 9, 2013.
Joy Michelle Duresky was born on Mothers Day, May 14, 1972 the daughter of Ronald and Judy (Persons) Duresky in Coon Rapids. Joy was raised at the Sunset Lodge Resort in Waskish. She attended school in Kelliher until the ninth grade when she moved to Princeton. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1990.
Joy worked at both the Milaca and Princeton DAC for many years. Joy was a very generous person. She was also very likeable, If you met her, you liked her.
Joy was very honest and candid and never led people on. She had four children who she dearly loved and was very protective of.
Joy loved the outdoors. She was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride and go to Sturgis whenever possible. She had a special way with animals and loved riding horses. She liked four wheeling and fishing, too. Joy liked gardening and raising Hostas was her specialty. She enjoyed working with her dad, brothers and nephew installing floor coverings. Joy took an annual trip to Las Vegas with her friends, a trip she always looked forward to.
Joy will be remembered by her family as the best Pedotis maker since her grandma Margaret.
Joy is survived by her children, Kyle Duresky, Kevin Wessel, Kody Duresky, and Kristina Duresky all of Princeton; parents Ron and Judy Duresky of Princeton; siblings, Mike (Lisa) Duresky, Robert (Pam) Duresky, Ronald F. (Jana) Duresky, Karin Elhard, Daniel (Theresa) Duresky, Kristy (Corey) Pink; nieces and nephews Michael (Ashley) , Ron, Jeff, David, Danny, Dylan, Nikki, Travis, Caitlyn (Tyler), Lindsey, Trevor, Kelsey, Colton, Shawna, Ryan, Ally, Carson, Julia; Aunt Carol, Uncle Doug (Diane) and many loving relatives and friends. Joy was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Margaret Duresky and Mary Persons; nephew Daniel Duresky Jr.; and uncle Don Persons.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept 12 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton.
Funeral Service was at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Princeton with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
