The Princeton girls cross country squad placed second to host Mora at the Sept. 10 invite run at Vasaloppet Nordic Center.
The Tigers were paced by Samantha Swedzinski placing fourth at 16:43 as the team totaled 60 points behind the Mustangs’ 40. Also competing were Becker (61), Milaca (115), Cambridge-Isanti (135), Mille Lacs (150) and Hinckley-Finlayson (163).
Adding to the Tigers’ success were Emily Kruschek (12th, 17:13), Breanna Schultz (13th, 17:15), Ashley Urman (15th, 17:23), Madison Jung (25th, 17:56), Mady Shafer (27th, 18:16) and Allie Kloncz (47th, 20:15).
Brendan Carlson led the Princeton boys at the race by placing 17th at 19:06. The Tigers finished in fifth place with 116 points as Mora swept its invite titles with a low 31 points. Next in the standings were Cambridge-Isanti (64), Becker (79), and Milaca (102), with Braham (119) placing sixth.
Nick Langenfeld (20th, 19:15), Michael Huebsch (30th, 19:49) and Joshua Cassiday (31st, 19:57) posted the Tiger boys’ next best times. Also racing at Mora were Nikita Pelletier (37th, 20:26), Tucker Bell (46th, 22:30) and Sam Irwin (47th, 22:34).
