Clarine (Claire) Louise Naughton, age 72 of Crystal River, Fla., died Aug. 9, 2013 at the Hospice of Citrus County in Lecanto, Fla.
She was born in Blue Earth, Minn. and grew up in the Princeton area. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1958.
Claire and her family fostered and provided shelter for many children of Hennepin County and she was Guardian Ad Litem for children of Citrus County while living in Florida.
She was active in the Women of Insurance Industry in Minneapolis and League of Women Voters, Bloomington chapter. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and cross-stitching. She was a dear friend and helpful neighbor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Irene Larweck of Princeton and husband Thomas J. Naughton of Crystal River, Fla.
She is survived by sons Randall Forland of Broomfield, Colo., Michael Forland of Miami, Ariz. and Jeffrey Forland of Broomfield, Colo.; stepchildren Paul Naughton (Julie) of Arlington, Jennifer Naughton of Switzerland, and Jon Naughton (Leanne) of Laramie, Wy. ; seven grandchildren; siblings LeRoy Larweck (Mary) of New Brighton, Larry (Cathy) Larweck of Isanti and Trudy (Allen) Moore of Eden Prairie; four nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 27. Burial was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
