Free wireless broadband service has been launched at several locations in Mille Lacs County, including County buildings.
People can stay “connected” through the network, provided in part by a grant from the Blandin Foundation, to access the Internet, retrieve e-mail, or surf the Web without being connected to network cables. Mille Lacs County is one of only nine counties in Minnesota that were selected to become a Blandin Broadband Community.
The County’s Wi-Fi offers mobility and convenience to wirelessly access the Internet without connecting to the County’s network. No special settings, user names or passwords are required. Users must locate the network icon on their wireless device and agree to the terms of service in order to connect.
Wi-Fi Hot Spots can be found at the following location in Princeton:
Mille Lacs County Historical Society, 101 10th Ave South.
