Princeton firefighters, with assistance from Baldwin Fire & Rescue, extinguished a blaze that damaged this shed owned by Ernest Sloan at 4396 70th Ave, about four miles northeast of Princeton last Friday. Princeton received the fire call at 3:36 p.m. and was at the scene until 5:22 p.m., according to Princeton Fire Chief Jim Roxbury. The suspect cause was a wood stove but the department is still checking, Roxbury said. Also on site during the fire were North Ambulance and the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department. The back part of the shed had sheltered livestock but none were inside when the fire occurred, Roxbury said.
